    KAHOOT!

Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform, used as educational technology in schools and other educational institutions. It is a database of learning games, called "Kahoots", which are in the form of multiple-choice quizzes that allow user-generation and can be accessed via a web browser, phone, or the app itself

Gamification is part of 21st-century learning. Keeping that in mind if you are looking for an excellent formative assessment tool for your classroom go for Kahoot! I got introduced to this tool a couple of years ago and once again got a chance to explore it further in my Technology for Education class.
On Kahoot you can create your own quiz or use one of the millions already existing quizzes in Kahoot library according to your subject or lesson plan.

Students are able to answer questions through a variety of devices and get a chance to use colours and shapes to connect to the answer. The database creates a performance chart of each student in the classroom which can track students achievements as well as on questions the student is unable to perform well. That way teacher can know which concept needs clarification and is needed to be taught more in detail.

Kahoot is a game-based learning platform which is mostly used in taking the formative assessment in classrooms. Teachers can create customized multiple-choice question quizzes, provide the code to students to access the quiz and start the quiz. Students can access by logging in by using different names for their ids hence it provides anonymity to students and a safe way to participate in the classroom.

It is very simple to create a quiz or survey on Kahoot. With its new add on feature now you can add youtube videos and images to your quizzes. You can simply create a quiz by clicking on create a quiz, followed by giving a title, then you are guided step by step to include questions and maximum four multiple-choice answers. After completing all the questions then you are able to review and reorder the questions according to your liking. You can also set the settings according to your liking like for example would you like to make your quiz private or public, level of difficulty and choose your primary audience. You can give your quiz a cover image or a video as well before launching it and giving your students the code to access it.

Once the quiz is created, the teacher projects the game on a projector and students can view from their respective places. The teacher clicks play and the code to access it is displayed on the projector screen. Students use that code to log in. Kahoot gives scores to students depending on answer choice and speed.

The energetic music, vivid colours and shapes enhance cognition and encourage students to eagerly participate hence enhancing their learning skills, knowledge, and classroom engagement. I for one highly recommend teachers to use this awesome engaging resource in their classroom to create an interactive and technology integrated environment in their classrooms for higher achievement and performance of students.
